1969 Cadillac Calais 2-dr Hardtop Coupe. Nice original survivor car with a lot of original parts in driver quality condition. Would make a sweet rig to head to cars and coffee or just have fun around town! It’s a soft as a cloud and floats like a chesterfield going down the road! Powered by a giant 472 V8 with a 4-bbl carb, power steering and power brakes and a TH400 3-speed automatic. The car is very original under the hood! The Calais was the entry level Caddy for the era and was a twin to the DeVille but offered with less standard or optional equipment. The Calais comes with upscale cloth and vinyl seats but was never offered with leather. This one has a front bench seat with folding arm rest finished in its original blue cloth which is still in good shape. There are some luxury items including power windows and automatic climate control with Air conditioning (no belt on the compressor right now), but overall, it is quite a simple car for Cadillac. The bench seat is not powered, and it has an AM/FM radio. No power locks, no tilt, no cruise control, The carpets, upholstery, head liner and dash are all factory original. Mostly in good condition with a bit of wear and tear, and a few minor cracks. Probably the worst spot of the interior is the passenger moulded door panel where the soft vinyl has cracked. The trunk still features the cardboard liners, spare tire and floor mat. Under the hood is a car that’s been maintained as need along the years. The car is rust free which is nice, but paint is driver quality. It’s a had a recent polish which has brough back a lot of the luster, but there  just a couple minor spots of paint where repair could be used (paint flaked off). Chrome is original, not perfect, but nice. You’d call this a survivor car, as it seems to all be there, but isn’t show quality. Original hub caps are on the car, and a correct set of white wall tires completes the look. About the only modification from stock is a slight lowering of the car, which only accentuates the long, low look of the Caddy. This would be a great entry level car to get into the classic car hobby, or just a cool driver! The car shows 57,000 miles, but with only 5 digits, true milage is unknown.
