SOLD - 1965 AC Cobra

1965 AC Shelby Cobra - Factory 5 -Gen 4 Chassis. This is the ultimate driver's Cobra. A 90's fuel injected 5.0 H.O. Ford V8 and a 5-speed manual paired up with a fully independent front and rear suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes, means this thing isn’t just a straight line shooter, it handles like a dream! Factory 5 is world renowned for building one of the best body/chassis for the Cobra, and this car features the latest generation with the most refinement. This chassis is a 2012 model year, but the build was only completed in 2019. The 5.0 also sounds great with headers and true side pipes. Turn the key, and it’s ready to roll! Only 2300 miles since the build was completed. Great style on this one too with beautiful cockpit touches. The gauges all work as they should and are the new electronic over analogue style. Seating position is perfect and very comfortable with 4-point harnesses. No roof, but the heater works great for those chilly spring/fall days. The green paint with gold metallic (Land Rover color) pairs perfectly with the brown leather dashboard and wood accented door panels. (we might have the seats recovered in the same leather stay tuned) Interestingly the owner at the time of the build chose to skip the hood scoop and double accent stripes found on most Cobras – a nice nod to some of the early AC Cobra’s built by Carol Shelby. The chrome is flawless where it’s featured on the car and the Shelby Mustang wheels are a nice touch and fill the wheel wells perfectly.
