1979 Chevrolet C20 Shorty Boogie Van! One wild rid that’s just been completed! Not shortened, this is a true short wheelbase, 2WD cargo van with no windows - ever, save for the two front doors and windshield! Milage is believed to be 106,000 kms on the body and the van spent the majority of its life in Lethbridge AB. Originally built in Ontario in ’79. Lots of recent upgrades. A freshly rebuilt SBC 350 from a ’77 C20 has been installed. It was professionally rebuilt, and the van comes with dyno sheets showing that it makes over 300 hp, and 400 lb-ft of torque. This van really will BOOGIE! That 350 is mated to a 700R4. Out back is an upgraded 12-bolt rear end with open differential. Recently new brake master, wheel cylinders, rear brakes and shocks have all been installed. Staggered GM rally wheels 7 and 8” were blasted, panted and chrome beauty rings and center caps added. A matching spare with custom vinyl cover is on the back door. The body is in incredible condition. The van received it’s first ever repaint just last year in its factory medium blue color along with new front fenders, all new weather stripping, a new windshield, and the gm spare tire rack and Day 1 ladder and roof rack went back on. The roof was re-seam sealed before painting. The grill and taillight bezels are backdated to pre’77 chrome units. The interior is sensational featuring 3 very rare swivel bucket seats finished in white and blue houndstooth, and a matching folding rear bench that transforms into a bed. There’s a small drink/card table in the middle of it all. The headliner, walls and door panels were all redone in a blue tweed fabric, along with a conversion van arm rest/drink holder. Led spotlights were installed in the headliner during the restoration. There’s new sound deadener and carpets throughout the entire rig, along with factory rubber floor mats up front. The Dash and doghouse are original and are flawless. Interestingly the radio delete plate is still in place! The steering column was upgraded to a tilt unit from a ’77 C20.  The entire interior was just completed and professional done at the very renowned Cascade Van interiors in Calgary. Quite the incredible job they did on this one. Super cool van with a great interior, good looks and the potential to go to the next level! Right now, the exhaust exits on both sides in front of the rear wheels, but a set of side pipes, a bit of a lowering, a set of staggered Craigars and a hand painted mural would make it a masterpiece!
