1968 Chevrolet C/10 Resto-mod, Reg Cab, OBS step side box. This truck has undergone a complete frame-off full restoration in 2018. The truck started life as a long box but was professionally shortened using Z-cutting and the required additional steel to properly do the job. At that point the ’88-’98 OBS step side box was also added, and surprisingly, they match well! The body lines flow seamlessly from the cab to the box, and everything lines up as if it were done at the factory this way! The truck still rides on its original frame, but an air ride system was added on all corners with controls mounted to the shifter. During the resto job, the frame was painted, the body and box were completely painted, and the truck received an all new interior with TMI seats and custom GM center console. A Bluetooth Retrosound radio was added with door speakers, and stand-alone amplifier and Subwoofer under the seat. A tilt column was added along with a B&M shifter. Under the hood is a freshly rebuilt 350 small block chev, bored out to a 355. Its topped with Sniper fuel injection and is stock specs apart from a mild cam. During the rebuild it received new pistons, rings, bearings, seals and gaskets. Headers were also installed for true dual exhaust. Behind all that is a rebuilt TH-350 3-speed automatic. An aluminum rad with electric fan keeps things cool. Power steering is a nice touch and power front disc brakes and rear drums are plenty adequate. Everything is new on the truck including suspension components, brake components, exhaust, and glass. If it needed doing, it was done! Despite 98,000 miles on the odometer, the builder assured us there was less than 1,000 miles since completion in 2018. Just enough miles to work on the kinks, but still so few, this is like a brand-new build.  Inside and out, top to bottom this is a beautiful truck with excellent craftsmanship put into the restoration work. It looks just as good in person as it does in the pictures!
