1958 Edsel ranger 2-dr Hardtop. Extra long with a continental kit! Turns heads everywhere with outstanding late 50’s styling and the horse-collar grill! This one is in nice driver condition. Could go to car shows, cars and coffee, or weekend cruising all over! Powered by a E-400 V8 which stands for the torque rating – the 361 cubic inch V8 made 303 hp and 409 lb-ft of torque; enough to move this big car along swiftly. Paint is largely very nice on this car and looks sharp with a white and red combo on the exterior and two tone dark and light grey on the interior. Ranger was the second from the bottom model for Edsel in ’58, but still features lots of equipment. Dual antennas have been added and this one was optioned with fender skirts, which along with the continental kit make this car look like it’s a mile long! Chrome all around looks very nice. The interior has a padded dashboard – an option, along with two bench seats in either original fabric, or new old stock. Like all other Edsel’s there’s the rotating disc speedometer, dial climate controls and push button transmission buttons floating in the middle of the steering wheel! The interior is in nice condition and along with the custom pillows and matching knitted blanket, it’s a nice place to spend time. Under the hood is again largely original, apart from an aluminum rad. The factory radiator is in the trunk and comes with the car. There’s power steering on this one, but no power brakes. It appears that maintenance and parts have been replaced as needed, but the engine is largely original. A second spare tire lives in the continental kit. A truly iconic car with sharp looks and lots of personality! Odometer reads 67,000 miles, but with only 5 digits, true milage is unconfirmed.
