1940 Ford Deluxe Fordor Sedan. Exceptional restoration mostly back to stock with just a few modern touches! Under the hood is a rebuilt 239 Flat-head V8 with dual exhaust that sounds just right. The generator upgraded to an alternator and some chromed or aluminum pieces added, but mostly stock with a great sound. The car has been upgraded to a 12 Volt system and the battery relocated to the trunk. Power routes through the rebuilt original 3-on-the-tree transmission and original rebuilt rear differential. 4-wheel drum brakes all redone to new original condition. In many ways the car runs and drives like it did new! An electric fuel pump has been added and windshield wipers converted to run on 12-volt rather than vacuum. Signal lights with emergency 4-way flashers, and seatbelts have also been added to the car making it a bit safer in modern traffic.  The exterior of the car is absolutely gorgeous. Paint is deep, rich and velvety smooth with certainly a little more sparkle in it than it would have left the factory with. Chrome and brightwork all redone! It might have 4 doors, but the rear two are suicide opening! Running boards have been sprayed with bed liner making them usable. Because the car is stock, its actually quite tall and the running boards come in handy! It’s good looking from every angle. Moving inside you’ll find a slightly customized interior, very tastefully done with a more timeless look that matches the originality and art-deco styling of the car very well. Front bucket seats, rear molded bench and door panels are all finished in a handsome tan vinyl with maroon piping to match the exterior color. All new carpets, headliner and a set of cup holders also added. The Ford V8 logo is stitched into the headrests for a bit of style! The car is very comfortable and very generous with space. The rear seat passenger leg room is limo-like! The original ford heater is still under the dash, and the clock and gauges are all restored to original! A modern stereo hides in the glove box. A few new controls have been added to the dashboard tastefully for  wipers, heater fan etc. Gauges all work and the car is a pleasure to drive. The big wheel makes steering easy and the car slides into gear without effort. The trunk is finished the same way as the interior with a covered spare whitewall spare tire to match the four on the car. The details have been well done on this one and its in excellent condition! 32,000 miles on the odometer but with a restoration and only 5 digits, true milage is unknown.
